Also, you must explain what the progress you have achieved in doing the project since your last initial draft proposal. Through this TMA, you need to answer the following questions: Question 1: Specific title and project proposal (10 marks): (1) Specific title: This should fall within the scope of the broad project topic and clearly identify the student’s chosen specific topic (3 marks) (2) A clear statement of your project aims: (5 marks) (a) Your answer has to be consistent with your work in Question 2 with clarity of purpose (3 marks) (b) The project must deliver something tangible, and the student should be able to say clearly what it is. For example, comparison approach of systems performance, simulation analysis of network topologies… (2 marks) (3) Presentation and effective communication in clear English (2 marks); this includes: • Logical development of ideas (1 mark) • Spelling punctuation and grammar (1 mark) Question 2: Initial description of the project goals (20 marks): (1) Project goals: (16 marks) • What was your initial goal and motivation for your project? (4 marks) It has to be none-trivial goals (4 marks) and it has to be realistic in both depth and extent (4 marks) • Your answer should include an initial textual description of the different activities needed to achieve the goals. Literature study: you have to present an up-to-date study in the domain you are working on and present a literature study related to your work.(15 marks) 3 2. Tools that will used in the project: you are required to present the tools needed to accomplish your project. You have to show the justifications of your choice. (5 marks) 3. Deliverable: in this part, you have to present your expectations of the project achievement. In other words, you need to present the intended outcome of your project. (10 marks) Question 4: System design (25 marks) You are required to present all necessary diagrams, charts, and models that represent all aspects of the project based on the description shown in the previous questions. (Lifecycle, modules, tools, process, results) (25 marks) Question 5: Schedule for the project The schedule should be well planned, and easy to follow. It should show that you have (15 marks): (1) Thought ahead and set realistic timescales (4 marks) (2) Clearly defined the stages, intermediate targets and milestones of the project (8 marks) (3) Built in some flexibility to allow for things not going to plan.
